Books-n-Breakfast 2011


     On Saturday, November 19, 2011, from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., South Middle School students and their families are invited to attend Books-n-Breakfast 2011, an educational and social event, designed to promote parental awareness regarding their child’s education.

     Students and their families are offered a free gourmet buffet-style breakfast served in the South Middle School cafeteria. Parents will have the opportunity to receive educational materials, meet with teachers and learn different strategies to support your child’s education.

     In addition, various community organizations will be present to participate in this event including: Fuel Up to Play 60, Healthy Orange-Orange County Department of Health, Newburgh YMCA, SUNY Orange Center for Youth Development, TAP Program, the City of Newburgh Dynamic Approach Marching Band and Wells Fargo Bank.

     “By joining us in this effort, we share a vision of creating an atmosphere of academic excellence to inspire our students to reach the highest level of achievement,” explained South Middle School Principal Michael Ragusa.
